Coffey Agencies, a local insurance firm that provides coverage for hundreds of families and small businesses across northern Alabama and Georgia, recently announced an ongoing community involvement campaign dubbed “Agents of Change.” As part of this program, Coffey Agencies is launching a charity drive to raise funds for a local mother of three.

Rochelle Smith lost her husband just before Christmas in December of 2012, and has been raising her three children on her own since. Attending to the needs of her children while struggling to support her family requires reliable transportation, and Rochelle has recently learned that her car needs an overhaul.

“Rochelle is a hard working mother who needs our help, and it’s up to our community to come together and give her a hand up so she can continue providing for her children,” says Cody Coffey, founder and manager of Coffey Agencies.

Mobilizing an extensive list of personal and professional contacts, Coffey and his team are creating an online social media and email awareness campaign to draw support for Rochelle’s charity drive from surrounding communities. As well, Rochelle and her family will enjoy a full page feature in the next issue of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online periodical published by Coffey Agencies:

Future charity drives are already in the works for Coffey Agencies, as the team has made a long term commitment to work with at least one new local cause every 60 days as part of an ongoing community involvement initiative.

Readers who want to join Coffey Agencies in supporting Rochelle Smith and her family are invited to make a personal donation directly from the Coffey Agencies website: Readers who want to track new charities and causes supported by Coffey Agencies can bookmark the firm’s Community Causes section:
