Sprite-A-Lights

Rita Campbell is a certified fairyologist, brings a touch of magic to everything she does, whether she’s teaching, gardening, or writing children’s books. Her book Emberlina Sprite-A-Light: the Fairy Who Lights up the Night is a perfectly delightful story on its own, but it happens to come with a solar-powered, mushroom shaped house that’s just the right size for a fairy to inhabit. Together, the book and the house are meant to inspire an interest in gardening and promote a sense of wonder, both things that Campbell thinks the world needs more of. “Kids are able to use their imagination so well because they still have so much magic in them,” Campbell says. “I feel that they’re losing that wonder at an increasingly early age today with computers and iPads. We need to try to keep that magic in our children’s lives for as long as we can.”
